NC Restaurant Carry Bill Killed by House Leadership

This morning the NC House Judiciary Committee met to discuss House Bill 17, which is the bill containing restaurant carry, and a provision making concealed carry, and pistol purchase permit records private.

Strangely, the bill showed up to committee missing the restaurant carry portion of the bill. It appears that house leadership (Allegedly Speaker Thom Tillis) asked for that portion of the bill to be removed, and it was.

The confidentiality part was apparently well received by the committee, but as I mentioned, restaurant carry was missing.

I sent an email to Mr. Tillis asking for an explanation, and I will update this post if/when I hear back from him.
