As most of you probably know, Tropical Storm Alberto is just a little ways off the coast of South Carolina right now. In this episode I cover a couple things regarding preparedness for hurricanes, as we are due for a big one any time now.
Also, when tropical storms and hurricanes come through, it generally prompts the Governor to declare a “State of Emergency” in order to secure some federal funding for clean up efforts, etc. In the past, when a SOE was declared, a little known law would kick in, making it illegal to transport firearms anywhere in the state. This was recently overturned, but now more shenanigans are afoot with the state legislature.
