Every month or so I meet up with a big group of folks that have podcasts in the Raleigh area. We talk about everything from production of our shows, to troubleshooting problems, to giving motivation to people looking to start their own podcasts. Just about every month I come away from the meeting with one big thing in mind: I have the best listeners of any podcast anywhere.
Y’all call me out when I’m wrong, send me feedback and encouragement, come find me and shake my hand when you see me somewhere, and for all of that I’m extremely thankful.
One of the things I’m most proud of is that this whole podcast thing hasn’t turned into an echo chamber. When I say something stupid, y’all blow up my inbox telling me so, which is appreciated more than you know.
I hear some folks talk about how they’ve been podcasting for years, and never hear from their audience, never get feedback, and they don’t get the opportunity to meet their listeners face to face. I get all of these things, and it’s freakin’ awesome. On Monday night alone at the Wake County Action Pistol match I met 5 listeners that I’d never met before.
So, faithful listeners, thanks for being awesome.
