In January of 2013, shortly after Ben started co-hosting the podcast he and another mutual friend started dropping some hints to me about weight loss, paleo, and general health and well being.
It took a couple of months to get through to me, but after hearing Ben talk about eating bacon all the time, somewhere around the end of February/beginning of March 2013 I decided to give this whole paleo thing a go. In a matter of weeks I lost almost 20lbs, and felt better than I’ve ever felt.
I was tipping the scale at 283lbs back then, and I weighed in at 228lbs earlier this week.
I feel better, I shoot better, I can carry a pistol easier, and I don’t need 18 cups of coffee to get me going in the morning anymore.
All of this to say, if you want to change, change. It’s not hard, it just isn’t easy.
Congratulations Lucas!
That is a lot of weight to lose! You have accomplished quite a feat and deserve a hearty round of applause. Hopefully, this will inspire others that may be thinking of getting rid of the excess bulk.
Keep it up!
Thank you sir! Still have a little way to go, but I’m pretty happy about where I am now.
Good job, Lucas!

Congrats! I’m with you! 2 years ago I went from 187 to 123 in about 16-18 months, lost 6 inches off of my waist with careful food intake and a lot of exercise. Way to go!!! I know how it feels!
Congrats Luke keep it up!
