In NC, we have been unable to carry our legal firearms when a State of Emergency has been declared by the Governor. This was ridiculous, as most of the time, the SOE is declared for a very small part of the state, and the rest of us were left to suffer. It looks like this will change! Check out the link below. I haven’t read the entire press release yet, so I’ll keep this short, but it appears to be a huge win for all residents of NC!
From the SAF press release:
“…the court finds that the statutes at issue here are subject to strict scrutiny…While the bans imposed pursuant to these statutes may be limited in duration, it cannot be overlooked that the statutes strip peaceable, law abiding citizens of the right to arm themselves in defense of hearth and home, striking at the very core of the Second Amendment.”
