Weekend Reading

I’m totally ripping off this idea from Jason at PistolPackinDad.com (You should go subscribe to his feed).

On the weekends I’m going to start posting some links to other blogs/news articles/announcements/whatever else I found interesting throughout the previous week:

• Miguel over at GunFreeZone.net does an epic smackdown of the Violence Policy Center, and their claim that .50BMG rifles are used in crimes all the time. Miguel finds that theres really only one murder that’s ever been recorded with one in the US, and it happened recently. Thankfully, Christie saw the light and has since vetoed the bill.
• Kevin Reeve of onPoint Tactical did a fantastic guest post on the ITS Tactical blog about situational awareness. This is something we all know that we should be focusing on, and this is a good reminder.
• Chuck Thompson of New Bern, NC lays it out in a letter to the editor of the New Bern Sun Journal. Titled “Why is everyone misstating HB 937?” he asks why the media and the anti’s are continuing to spread disinformation about the bill. It’s a quick read, you’ll like it.
• Jack Spiro over at The Survival Podcast interviews Kerry Davis of Dark Angel Medical. Have a listen.
