It’s time for me to buy some new clothes, as I’ve ungrew most every pair of pants I own. This, unfortunately, requires trying on clothes at the store.
Today my bride and I made an impromptu stop at a clothing store, and I decided to try on some jeans. No big deal right?
I didn’t think so either until I got into the fitting room, and realized I had a pistol in my waistband. I ended up removing the holster, placing it on my pants, and folding them over the gun while I was trying on clothes. This seemed less than ideal, but what else do you do?
Any tips from the Triangle Tactical braintrust?
I purposely carry while trying on clothes so that I can see if they conceal my pistol well and are comfortable with the pistol in place
Still haven’t gotten your XD-S back? Even get a shipping notification?
I’ve been a terrible gun owner and haven’t fired it since getting mine back.
No word from Springfield yet, but it switched to “fixed” on their website this morning.
Kathy Jackson addresses the “dressing room” scenario in her book, “The Cornered Cat”. It’s all posted on line, so here’s the writeup: http://www.corneredcat.com/article/social-considerations/would-you-carry-a-gun-while-shopping/
