Black Rain Ordinance has released NY compliant AR-15, removing all of the evil features that make the rifle illegal in the state under the NY unSAFE act. This has the anti gun folks up there in a pretty tricky situation, since they got what they wanted in the law, but all the sudden that isn’t good enough.
Newsmax is reporting that Leah Gunn Barrett (yes, that is actually her real name… seriously) who is the Executive Director of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence is quoted saying the new guns “follow the letter of the law but not the spirit, and we’re keeping the governor’s office and the state police on their toes and monitoring this.”
Yes, that old “spirit of the law” argument. You know, laws so poorly written that just complying with them isn’t good enough…
When the Government follows the laws they write, then I will.
