So, I found this on Facebook tonight…
I don’t know if it’s real, or where it was originally published, but I really hope it’s real. The safety was the thing that made the S&W Shield not as good as it could have been, and hopefully S&W has been listening. I went so far as to work on prototyping an extended safety for the Shield (here and here) but if I can get a Shield without the safety all together, I’d be much happier.
I just sold my Shield, but I could be convinced to buy one without the safety…

That looks like a fullsize M&P, not a Shield.
