The past couple of days have brought some leaks of new pistols that will be dropping at SHOT Show later this month.
As expected, Glock is apparently coming out with a line of optic ready long slide pistols.
I’m curious about why they decided to go with long slide pistols for the optic ready models, because once you put an optic on the pistol, the sight radius doesn’t matter anymore. I’d be a bit more excited about an optic ready Glock 19, but that has yet to be seen. Still no official word from Glock, so they may have some more tricks up their sleeve.
Also, FN went ahead and publicly announced the FNS compact on their Facebook page earlier today:
Looks interesting. Neither Ben or I were thrilled with the FNS 9mm that we reviewed back in Episode 88 of the podcast, but the world can always use some more compact, carry sized handguns. Looks like they went without the safety on the compact model, so that’s a plus.
