Bloggers, You’re Being Trolled

A couple weeks ago a reader sent me an email about “Perceived Carry Decoys” with a link to a website that claims will be creating inert guns in holsters so people can have the perception of open carry without the responsibility of actually carrying a gun.

Yes, a dummy pistol and holster. Basically a less useful blue gun that is certain to get some folks into situations over their heads. That is, if the product was actually real.

Here’s the thing though: The website claims to have pictures of the “first live prototype” (Pic 1) (Pic 2) which is clearly a Walther P22 pistol in a fobus holster. The picture quality isn’t great, but I feel confident saying that the picture is of a real pistol, and this person is epically trolling gun bloggers around the ‘net.
