Triangle Tactical Podcast and Blog on Guns, Gear, and Competition Shooting
I’ve been getting a lot of folks asking if I’m going to be at SHOT show, and the answer is: nope.
I’ll be honest, back when I first started blogging/podcasting, I thought SHOT show was the Mecca of places to go for bloggers, but these days I’m really not all that interested in going to the show. I hate asking companies for free stuff to review, and I’m not really interested in filming an advertisement for some companies products just to get hits on my YouTube channel.
Currently I have an awesome gig with a third party that not only allows me to play with the cool new gear when it comes out, but I also get to take new guns out and shoot them, which is way better than playing with them at a trade show.
The only part of the SHOT show experience that I feel like I’m missing out on is sitting around and drinking beer with all of the other bloggers/new media types. If I had boatloads of cash, I’d love to fly to Vegas, and hang out with all the folks who’s blogs I read, and podcasts I listen to all year long, but we’re working towards getting debt free, so it’ll be a couple years before that happens.
