Ted Nugent’s Gun Country

Did anyone else have a chance to check out Ted Nugent’s new TV show on the Discovery Channel last night?

I checked it out, and in all honesty, it was better than I was expecting. I can’t stand to watch most of the “gun” shows like Sons of Guns, American Guns, etc. They just don’t do it for me. Nugent’s show was a little different. Here’s the trailer from YouTube:

The show started out at Uncle Ted’s ranch, and the set-up was that Ted had too many African Oryx on his property, and needed to harvest a couple of them. He meets up with the guys from LaRue Tactical and gets a LaRue PredatAR. He then meets up with some “preppers” that you may recognize from YouTube, and finally does some ballistic testing with the crew from Barnes bullets before hunting the Oryx.

I like Uncle Ted. I’ve met him a couple of times at different events, and I think he’s a pretty normal dude when there aren’t any cameras around. On the show, he’s the Motor City Madman that we all know well, and thats alright with me. Anyways, I had fun watching the show, and I’ll check out future episodes.
