Sunday Reading and a Question.

As promised, here’s your Sunday morning reading:

Detroit Police to Mayoral Candidate: Get a gun. I thought this was interesting, especially coming from the bankrupt Detroit Police Dept.

Calamity Jane over at SHTF Blog wrote a nice post about adding more movement to our daily routine. Its not a gun related post, but it’s good motivation to better ourselves.

Michael Bane over at Down Range Radio had a nice recap of the Crimson Trace Midnight 3-gun match that took place recently on his latest podcast.

I appreciate The Blaze countering Bloomberg’s press conference about “illegal guns” that were sized in NYC, but this is how guns are displayed at every gun show, and in every gun store across the country.

Caleb at GunNuts had an interesting post about a felon writing an article pushing for Gun Control which ran in The Atlantic. His follow up post is even more interesting where he looks into who may have actually written the article.

And for the question: What are your thoughts on DWI checkpoints? I’ve found my way into them several times recently, and I can’t help but feel a little violated afterwards.

What do you think about them?

  1. I hate working DWI checkpoints…but I’m wondering how you feel violated?

    • Stopped without suspicion of a crime, asked to see my papers, having to disclose that I’m carrying, asked to open my trunk (denied that request, and it’s only happened once… ), so yeah, that about sums it up.
