DIY: Stippling

Stippling plastic things has grown in popularity over the past couple of years. It’s easy, cheap, and with a little plastic it can really make a good looking, as well as functional result.

Here’s a couple of videos I’ve shot recently showing you a couple of the more popular styles of stippling:

The first is the “tree bark” style, which if you want to see a better picture of,

The second is the old standard, using a round tip on your soldering iron to stipple with. You can use bigger or smaller tips to suit your fancy. I like bigger ones, because it makes the job go faster.
