A Note for Practiscore Users

Going through some of my notes from the last SWGC USPSA match, and I was reminded of a situation that occurred at the match. On one stage Ben was running the Practiscore tablet (A kindle running the scoring software for the match) and Chris Tilley was shooting a stage from behind a barricade with his open gun. When Chris transitioned to the side of the barricade that Ben and I were standing on, each of his shots caused the Kindle to jump back a page in the software. It must have been something to do with the noise/concussion of the open gun being reflected off of the barricade, but I thought it was interesting.

If you’re noticing that your tablet/Practiscore is acting up when a shooter is finished with a stage, check the placement of the person holding the tablet, and have them move further away from the shooter. It’s only come up once, at one match, with one shooter, so it’s not a huge issue, but it was frustrating.

By the way, if you’re match isn’t using Practiscore yet, they should be.
