NC Hunters Safety Instructors Received a Package from the State

I was informed recently that NC Hunters Safety instructors received a package from the state containing wording that firearms were not allowed in NC Hunters Safety classes, and the state even went so far as to include “No Guns” signage as well. I haven’t procured a copy of the letter, but it was implied to me that the letter also stated that the Hunters Safety instructors were not to be carrying concealed during the classes. …

Do, Don’t Be

Today, during yoga (yes, yoga is good for competitive shooting), talking to another guy in the class, he made some excuse for not being able to do something because he is “short.” My internal reaction to what he was saying is that it was ridiculous. As someone who started yoga after someone twice my age was able to kick my ass in a variety of strength, flexibility, and balance skills, I realized that who you are …

BREAKING: Undetectable Firearms Act Renewed for 10 Years

The US Senate passed the Undetectable Firearms Act by ‘unanimous consent’ this evening, and President Barack Hussein Obama signed it into law late tonight. I’m saddened to see this get renewed, but I’m glad that Sen. Shumer didn’t get the 1 year extension that he was hoping for. We recorded Episode 59 and talked about this before it was renewed, but here’s the segment from the episode where we talk about the ‘Undetectable Firearms Act’ …

It’s Official, the Glock 42 is Coming

Up until today, I hadn’t been able to confirm that the Glock 42 Advertisment to the right was even real, as I couldn’t find anywhere that it had been posted by Glock. I looked on the official Glock website, Glock ID, and the Glock Facebook page, and nowhere could I find it. This evening Jakerson9 over at Carolina Shooters Club mentioned that he received the January 2014 copy of Guns & Ammo, and loand behold, …

Kay Hagan Gets Friendly With Shooters and Hunters?

NC Senator Kay Hagan is spinning up the press machine to push for what she’s calling the Sportsmen’s and Public Outdoor Recreation Traditions Act (geddit? SPORT!). Here’s an overview of the bill, which at least in summary appears to be pretty unequivocally positive. The two main provisions of interest to recreational shooters include one about reserving more funds to build shooting ranges on federal land, and a second stipulating that the EPA can’t regulate “shot, bullets …

Obama Campaign wants You to Host a Sandy Hook Event

Organizing for Action (the leftover remnants of the Obama campaign) is asking Americans to host events on the 1yr Anniversary of the Sandy Hook shooting. Of course, these events aren’t being put together to remember the dead and mourn the loss of 20 children at the hands of a madman, no, they are once again politicizing their deaths in an effort to pressure congress to take away our guns. The anti-gun left will stoop to …

The “Glock 42” Plot Thickens…

I posted the following picture over at Carolina Shooters Club, and in the corresponding thread someone posted the following links to a merchant who appears to have added the Glock 41, and Glock 42 to their online store in preparation for the release of these new pistols: Glock 41: According to this Sportsmans Depot website, the Glock 41 will be a long slide fullsize .45ACP, basically a “practical tactical” version (like the Glock 34 and …
