Quail Ridge Books Town Hall Meeting on “Gun Violence”

This evening I had the opportunity to meet up with Sean from NCGunBlog.com, and several members from Carolina Shooters Club, and NCGunowners.com for this Town Hall Meeting on “Gun Violence in America”. The meeting featured a panel of three presenters, Dr. Meymandi (a psychiatrist who has studied gun violence), Congressman David Price (rabid anti-gun politician), and David Crabtree (from WRAL, not really sure why he was on the panel…) The meeting went like this: Crabtree: …

IL House Passes Shall Issue Concealed Carry

Illinois is the last state in the union that does not have some form of concealed carry on the books. Recently a decision by the 7th circuit ruled that the state had 180 days to pass some a concealed carry law, or all of their current laws banning concealed carry would no longer be enforceable, and constitutional carry would become the law of the land. As expected, there are many elected officials in Illinois who …

Memorial Day

Many years ago, I used to work for the city where I grew up. We did everything from mowing grass, to digging graves at the cemetery.Ā  I was asked to work in the office at the cemetery on Memorial Day for a couple of years, and my only job on those days was to sit in the office, and help direct families to the sites where their loved ones were buried. Often times the families, …

According to an article posted on The Hill, they may be. The article, which has been picked up by numerous bloggers and forums has begun to go viral around pro-2A circles in the past several hours. WRAL Claims to Have Found a Gun Loophole in NC

Tonight at 6:00PM, WRAL news will be airing a program about what they are claiming is a gun buying loophole in NC that lawmakers, police, and gun shop owners all agree needs to be fixed. As we know, WRAL is no friend of gun owners, so this should be an interesting show. What do you think this “loophole” will be? No permit needed for long gun purchases? No background check needed for private sales? Pistol …
