Can we lay off the Whitehouse.gov petitions already!?

If you have been on Facebook, or any gun related forums over the past couple days, you have probably noticed the prevalence of Whitehouse.gov petitions asking the President to do everything from deporting CNN host Piers Morgan, to stopping a possible “Assault Weapons” ban, to asking that Diane Feinstein be tried for treason.

Does anyone think that these petitions will do any good? Do you really think that if 20,000 people sign a petition, and presumably gets in front of the President, do you think he will care?

Let’s stop wasting our time trying to “send a message” to those who do not care about our message, and instead put some time into spreading the message. Join the NRA, and GRNC, talk to others and educate them about gun ownership, or even take someone who is on the fence about gun ownership to the range.

  1. So true. It won’t make a lick of difference what we petition the president to do.
