Ben sent me this information late last night, and I felt compelled to share: Someone over at Reddit has done some awesome research and noticed that as soon as concealed carry became legal at Colorado State University, violent crime fell through the floor. You know what’s sad about this? Under the insane anti-gun laws that were passed in Colorado earlier this year, concealed carry on college campuses is no longer legal. You might remember some …

I’m up late watching some random wilderness survival show that I found on Netflix, and the host is offering some pretty crappy advice for heading into the mountains in the winter. He keeps harping that you need to bring matches with you. I hate to break it to him, but matches suck. Especially in the winter. Especially in a wet environment. Should you have a way to start a fire when heading into the woods? …

– You find a 20rd box of match grade .308 in your closet, and you don’t own anything that shoots it. – While cleaning the garage, you find 2 separate bags with brand new PMAGs in them that you purchased during the scare, and forgot about. – On Monday you decide that spending your lunch money for the rest of the week on a trigger kit for a pistol is more important than eating. – …

We’ve all heard this before, and I think it’s completely garbage. Modern lights are plenty bright enough to identify someone from across a room, or down the hall without ever pointing your pistol at them. I busted out the camera, and kicked on some servers over at YouTube to show just this. I attempted to use a Streamlight TLR-2 weapon mounted light so that you could see the laser as well as the light so …

People with clean guns, and people with filthy guns. Tonight I decided that I was going to clean my AR since I literally cannot remember the last time I ran anything down the barrel that wasn’t going faster than the speed of sound. I took it down to the garage, separated the upper and lower, and retrieved my cleaning supplies. I did the thing that every one of us does, and that is to remove …

I’ve been complaining about the thumb safety on the S&W Shield since it was first released, and now having owned it for a couple weeks, I feel comfortable saying that it’s too small. In the above picture, you can see that it even has a lower profile than the slide stop. (Safety on the left, slide stop on the right) Why would they do this? I can only think that making the safety lever smaller …
